Ten Nonprofits Receive $100,000 Good Neighbor Grants from Ascendium

Since 2021, employees at Ascendium have been researching, nominating, and then voting for notable nonprofits to receive a Good Neighbor Grant as part of the organization’s employee giving program, Ascendium Cares. These grants direct much-needed financial resources to nonprofits that resonate with employees and that are doing impactful work in their communities. In its fifth year, Ascendium has awarded over $4 million in Good Neighbor Grants to 100 nonprofits in Wisconsin and beyond.

In this latest round, 10 nonprofits were selected by Ascendium employees to each receive a $100,000 grant. This year’s Good Neighbor Grant recipients include the following.

Because Ascendium is a mission-driven nonprofit, employees often have strong connections to other nonprofits providing services that help people. Their expertise and direct involvement in Good Neighbor Grants provide an opportunity to recognize organizations doing good in their community. It’s one of many ways for employees to engage with Ascendium’s mission to remove barriers that prevent people from achieving the academic and career goals that matter most to them. The selected nonprofits provide a diversity of services to their communities with the goal of increasing education and workforce training outcomes for learners from low-income backgrounds.

“Good Neighbor Grants continue to be a great way for our employees to give back to the communities where they live and work,” said Brett Lindquist, Vice President of Communications and Community Engagement. “Ascendium is honored to support these very deserving organizations, recommended by our employees. We look forward to seeing how the organizations use these funds to strengthen their communities and positively impact the people who live within them.”
