Because our employees care, Ascendium Cares

The Ascendium Cares employee giving program is based on a simple premise: We rise by lifting others.

We believe in making an impact.

That doesn’t just apply to our work with borrowers, our education philanthropy or the student success solutions we develop for colleges. We are also committed to making a difference in the communities where we live and work through our employee giving program, Ascendium Cares.

We encourage all employees to get involved with Ascendium Cares, whether through a United Way pledge, paid volunteer time off or a range of other fun events. In 2019, 99% of Ascendium employees participated in the volunteer time off program, giving over 1,300 hours of service throughout the year!

Each center “adopts” a local nonprofit that embodies our mission to champion opportunity for everyone through education, and they are selected in part due to their proximity to our offices. Having them nearby makes it easy to get there and back to volunteer.

We’re pleased to partner with these organizations through 2021:

Northeast South Dakota Head Start in Aberdeen, SD

Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville in Indianapolis, IN

Vera Court Neighborhood Center in Madison, WI

Giving back is just the beginning

We support our employees with generous benefits, including the chance to give back.
